ABSTRACT

El propósito del estudio fue cuantificar el tamaño de efecto (TE) del ejercicio aeróbico sobre la capacidad cardiorrespiratoria en sobrevivientes de la enfermedad COVID-19, producida por el virus SARS-CoV 2. Se revisaron dos bases de datos (EBSCO host y PubMed) entre los meses de agosto a noviembre del año 2021. Se encontraron 142 656 posibles artículos y, luego de varios filtros, se incluyeron 9 estudios que cumplían los requisitos de inclusión. Se usó el modelo de efectos aleatorios. Se obtuvieron 12 TE en un primer meta-análisis que tuvo sesgo (según prueba de Egger). Tras identificar y eliminar grupos con TE extremo, se obtuvo un modelo corregido y sin sesgo con 7 estudios y 9 TE, donde se encontró que el ejercicio aeróbico tiene un efecto significativo, positivo y de magnitud grande sobre la condición cardiorrespiratoria en sobrevivientes a la enfermedad de COVID-19 (TE = 0.849; IC95%: 0.715 - 0.982; . = 7.13; . = 0.522; I. = 0.87%; Egger . = 0.205). Las intervenciones con ejercicio aeróbico favorecen la mejora de la capacidad cardiorrespiratoria en pacientes sobrevivientes de COVID-19. Dos estudios aplicaron solo ejercicio aeróbico, mientras que los otros siete combinaban aeróbico con ejercicio de fuerza y otras modalidades. En todos los casos se tuvo TE significativo. Finalmente, estos resultados fueron relativamente homogéneos, sin evidenciar la influencia de posibles variables moderadoras.


The purpose of this study was to quantify the effect size (TE) of aerobic exercise on cardiorespiratory capacity in survivors of the COVID-19 disease caused by the SARS-CoV 2 virus. Two data bases (EBNSCO host and PubMed) were reviewed over the months of August through November, 2021. A total 142 656 potential articles were reviewed and, after applying several filters, 9 studies that met the requirements for inclusion were included. The random effect model was used. A first meta-analysis that was biased (according to Egger test) obtained 12 TE. After identifying and eliminating groups with an extreme TE, a corrected, unbiased model was obtained with 7 studies and 9 TE was obtained, where it was found that aerobic exercise has a significant, positive and large-magnitude effect on the cardiorespiratory condition on survivors of the COVID-19 disease (TE = 0.849; IC95%: 0.715 - 0.9 82; Q = 7.13; p = 0.522; I2 = 0.87%; Egger p = 0.205). Interventions with aerobic exercise foster an improvement in cardiorespiratory capacity in patients who survived COVID-19. Two studies applied aerobic exercise only, whereas the other seven combined aerobic exercise with strength exercise and other modes. In all cases, a significant TE was obtained. Finally, these results were relatively homogeneous, with no evidence for the influence of possible moderating variables.


O objetivo do estudo foi quantificar o tamanho do efeito (TDE) do exercício aeróbico na aptidão cardiorrespiratória em sobreviventes da doença COVID-19, produzida pelo vírus SARS-CoV 2. Foram revisadas duas bases de dados (EBSCO host e PubMed) entre agosto e novembro de 2021. Foi encontrado um total de 142.656 artigos em potencial e, após vários filtros, foram incluídos 9 estudos que atendiam aos requisitos de inclusão. Foi usado o modelo de efeitos aleatórios. Foram obtidos 12 TDE em uma primeira metanálise que era tendenciosa (de acordo com o teste de Egger). Depois de identificar e eliminar os grupos com TDE extremo, foi obtido um modelo corrigido e imparcial com 7 estudos e 9 TDE, no qual se constatou que o exercício aeróbico tem um efeito significativo, positivo e de grande magnitude sobre a aptidão cardiorrespiratória em sobreviventes da doença COVID-19 (TDE = 0,849; IC95%: 0,715 - 0,982; . = 7,13; . = 0,522; I. = 0,87%; Egger . = 0,205). As intervenções com exercícios aeróbicos melhoram o condicionamento cardiorrespiratório em sobreviventes da COVID-19. Dois estudos usaram apenas exercícios aeróbicos, enquanto os outros sete combinaram exercícios aeróbicos com exercícios de força e outras modalidades. Em todos os casos, houve um TDE significativo. Por fim, esses resultados foram relativamente homogêneos, sem evidências da influência de possíveis variáveis moderadoras.

ABSTRACT

Background: Increasing awareness to lifestyle disease has led to more participation of people in taking up various forms of exercise to avail more health benefits. The ability to perform physical exercise is related to cardiovascular systems capacity to supply oxygen to muscles and pulmonary systems ability to clear carbon di oxide from blood via lungs. Spirometry is a physiological test that measures the volume and flow of air that can be inhaled and exhaled. Aim and Objectives: The purpose of this study is not only to assess the beneficial effects of pranayama and aerobic exercises but to compare the improvements in the lung functions among these two modalities of exercises. Materials and Methods: It is a non-randomized cross-sectional comparative study. Total 150 participants of both sexes aged 30–50 years were selected and divided equally into three groups: Pranayama group, aerobic exercise group, and control group who were doing pranayama and aerobic exercise and no exercise respectively from the past 3 months were included in the study. The participants were assessed by their anthropometric parameters, pulse rate, respiratory rate, blood pressure, forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1), FEV1/FVC, and peak expiratory flow rate (PEFR). Results: Among Pranayama groups, there was significantly higher level of FVC, FEV1, FEV1/FVC ratio, and PEFR as compared to aerobic exercise group and control group. Conclusion: Both pranayama and aerobic exercise play an important role in improving the pulmonary functions but effects were more pronounced with pranayama.

ABSTRACT Introduction China is currently experiencing the problem of population aging, and the health status of the elderly has become a major focus of social attention. Objective Study the effect of aerobic exercise on the indices of physical function in the elderly. Methods 40 elderly people performed aerobic exercise 5 times a week for 8 weeks. Each exercise lasted 60 minutes, including 10 minutes of warm-up, 40 minutes of aerobic exercise (running, brisk walking, square dancing, among other activities), and 10 minutes of final cool-down. Data measurement included body indices, cardiopulmonary function, blood markers, and exercise capacity. Results Aerobic exercise can effectively improve the body shape, cardiopulmonary function, and blood lipid content of the elderly, and improve their flexibility and physical quality, enhancing their activities of daily living. Conclusion The results of this study show that aerobic exercise can effectively improve the body performance of the elderly in activities of daily living, effectively optimizing cardiopulmonary and lipid indexes. Engaging the elderly to participate in aerobic exercise should be considered by community social workers. Level of evidence II; Therapeutic studies - investigation of treatment outcomes.


RESUMO Introdução A China enfrenta atualmente o problema do envelhecimento populacional, e o estado de saúde dos idosos tornou-se um dos principais focos de atenção social. Objetivo Estudar o efeito do exercício aeróbico nos índices da função física nos idosos. Métodos 40 idosos executaram exercícios aeróbicos 5 vezes por semana durante 8 semanas. Cada exercício teve duração de 60 minutos, incluindo 10 minutos de aquecimento, 40 minutos de exercício aeróbico (corrida, caminhada rápida, dança de quadrilha, entre outras atividades) e 10 minutos de relaxamento final. A mensuração dos dados incluiu índices corporais, função cardiopulmonar, marcadores sanguíneos e capacidade de exercício. Resultados O exercício aeróbico pode efetivamente melhorar a forma corporal, a função cardiopulmonar e o conteúdo lipídico sanguíneo do idoso, além de melhorar a sua flexibilidade e a qualidade física, aprimorando suas atividades de vida diárias. Conclusão Os resultados deste estudo mostram que o exercício aeróbico pode melhorar efetivamente o desempenho corporal dos idosos nas atividades de vida diária, otimizando efetivamente os índices cardiopulmonares e lipídicos. O engajamento dos idosos na participação em exercícios aeróbicos deve ser considerada pelos assistentes sociais comunitários. RESUMEN Introducción China se enfrenta actualmente al problema del envejecimiento de la población, y el estado de salud de las personas mayores se ha convertido en un importante foco de atención social. Objetivo Estudiar el efecto del ejercicio aeróbico sobre los índices de función física en los ancianos. Métodos 40 ancianos realizaron ejercicio aeróbico 5 veces por semana durante 8 semanas. Cada ejercicio duró 60 minutos, incluyendo 10 minutos de calentamiento, 40 minutos de ejercicio aeróbico (correr, caminar rápido, bailar, entre otras actividades) y 10 minutos de relajación final. La medición de datos incluía índices corporales, función cardiopulmonar, marcadores sanguíneos y capacidad de ejercicio. Resultados El ejercicio aeróbico puede mejorar eficazmente la forma del cuerpo, la función cardiopulmonar y el contenido de lípidos en la sangre de los ancianos, y mejorar su flexibilidad y calidad física, potenciando sus actividades de la vida diaria. Conclusión Los resultados de este estudio muestran que el ejercicio aeróbico puede mejorar eficazmente el rendimiento corporal de los ancianos en las actividades de la vida diaria, optimizando efectivamente los índices cardiopulmonares y lipídicos. Los trabajadores sociales de la comunidad deberían considerar el compromiso de los ancianos de participar en el ejercicio aeróbico. ABSTRACT Introduction The problem of obesity is relevant to the current social development model. In addition to the eminent physical health risks, obese university students also experience greater resistance to social development. Obese students participating in the national weight loss fitness program can perceive the benefits of aerobic exercise. Objective Explore the effect of aerobic exercise on body morphology in obese university students. Methods 60 obese university students were selected as study subjects and divided equally into a control and experimental group. The control group received no intervention, while the experimental group performed a battery of aerobic exercises of 60 minutes daily, four times a week for six weeks. Data before and after the experiment were compared. BMI, body fat rate, blood lipid monitoring, and blood glucose were also taken as body component monitoring indexes, and circumference measurements and proportions were taken as external body monitoring indexes. Results Aerobic exercise can effectively reduce the body weight, body mass index (BMI), body fat rate, and body circumference of college students, decrease body weight, make the body shape more symmetrical, and also improve lipid and glycemic components, thus reducing the complications caused by obesity. Conclusion University professors should perform aerobic training for university students to improve their physical fitness, regulate their physical function, and improve their physical appearance. RESUMO Introdução O problema da obesidade é um problema relevante no atual modelo de desenvolvimento social. Além dos riscos eminentes na saúde física, os estudantes universitários obesos também vivenciam uma maior resistência para o desenvolvimento social. Os alunos obesos que participam do programa nacional de condicionamento físico para a perda de peso podem perceber os benefícios do exercício aeróbico. Objetivo Explorar o efeito do exercício aeróbico na morfologia corporal de estudantes universitários obesos. Métodos 60 estudantes universitários obesos foram selecionados como sujeitos de estudo e divididos igualmente em grupo controle e experimental. O grupo controle não recebeu intervenção enquanto o experimental efetuou uma bateria de exercícios aeróbicos de 60 minutos diários, quatro vezes por semana, durante seis semanas. Dados antes e depois do experimento foram comparados. O IMC, a taxa de gordura corporal, monitoramento sanguíneo de lipídios e glicemia também foram tomados como índices de monitoramento dos componentes corporais, medidas de circunferências e proporções foram tomadas como índices de monitoramento corporal externo. Resultados O exercício aeróbico pode reduzir efetivamente o peso corporal, o índice de massa corporal (IMC), a taxa de gordura corporal e a circunferência corporal dos estudantes universitários, diminuir o peso corporal, deixando a forma corporal mais simétrica, além de melhorar os componentes lipídicos e glicêmicos, reduzindo assim as complicações causadas pela obesidade. Conclusão Os professores universitários devem realizar treinamento aeróbico de estudantes universitários a fim de melhorar seu condicionamento físico, regular sua função física e melhorar seu aspecto físico. RESUMEN Introducción La cuestión de la obesidad es un problema relevante en el modelo actual de desarrollo social. Además de los riesgos eminentes en la salud física, los universitarios obesos también experimentan una mayor resistencia al desarrollo social. Los estudiantes obesos que participan en el programa nacional de acondicionamiento físico para la pérdida de peso pueden obtener los beneficios del ejercicio aeróbico. Objetivo Explorar el efecto del ejercicio aeróbico sobre la morfología corporal en estudiantes universitarios obesos. Métodos Se seleccionaron 60 estudiantes universitarios obesos como sujetos de estudio y se dividieron por igual en el grupo de control y el experimental. El grupo de control no recibió ninguna intervención, mientras que el grupo experimental realizó una batería de ejercicios aeróbicos de 60 minutos diarios, cuatro veces por semana durante seis semanas. Se compararon los datos antes y después del experimento. El IMC, el índice de grasa corporal, la monitorización de lípidos y de glucosa en sangre también se tomaron como índices de monitorización de los componentes corporales, las medidas de circunferencia y las proporciones se tomaron como índices de monitorización corporal externa. Resultados El ejercicio aeróbico puede reducir eficazmente el peso corporal, el índice de masa corporal (IMC), el índice de grasa corporal y la circunferencia corporal de los estudiantes universitarios, disminuir el peso corporal, hacer que la forma del cuerpo sea más simétrica, y también mejorar los componentes lipídicos y glucémicos, reduciendo así las complicaciones causadas por la obesidad. Conclusión Los profesores universitarios deberían realizar un entrenamiento aeróbico de los estudiantes universitarios para mejorar su estado físico, regular su función física y mejorar su aspecto físico. ABSTRACT Introduction: Rehabilitation training and recovery strategies are very important for repairing joint injuries in aerobic exercise practitioners, requiring periodic updates on the state of the art for their trainers and rehabilitation professionals. Objective: Verify the current status of joint injuries in aerobic exercise practice and explore the means practiced for rehabilitation training. Methods: 90 aerobics athletes were selected as experimental subjects, and the experiment lasted 12 weeks. Injuries were recorded, and joint rehabilitation training was performed, according to the updated literature survey. Results: The total static resting parameters of the unaffected limbs of the experimental group showed changes from 2.90 ± 0.55 to 2.81 ± 0.52, the anterior and posterior axial static parameters increased from 2.03 ± 0.71 to 2.14 ± 0.73, the lateral axial static parameters showed no significant changes, following the parameters of the control group. The total static parameters at the rest of the injured limb in the experimental group showed changes from 3.76 ± 0.73 to 2.73 ± 0.72, while the control group parameters showed no significant changes. Conclusion: The joint rehabilitation training for aerobics athletes currently practiced has shown to be satisfactory for the recovery of knee joint injuries in aerobic exercise practitioners. RESUMO Introdução: O treinamento de reabilitação e as estratégias de recuperação são muito importantes para o reparo de lesões nas articulações de praticantes de exercício aeróbico, necessitando de atualizações periódicas sobre o estado da arte para seus treinadores e profissionais de reabilitação. Objetivo: Verificar a situação atual das lesões articulares na prática de exercício aeróbico e explorar os meios praticados para o treinamento de reabilitação. Métodos: 90 atletas de aeróbica foram selecionados como sujeitos experimentais, e o experimento teve duração de 12 semanas. As lesões foram registradas, e o treinamento de reabilitação articular foi realizado, segundo o levantamento bibliográfico atualizado. Resultados: Os parâmetros estáticos totais de repouso dos membros não afetados do grupo experimental apresentaram alterações de 2,90 ± 0,55 para 2,81 ± 0,52, os parâmetros estáticos axiais anteriores e posteriores elevaram-se de 2,03 ± 0,71 para 2,14 ± 0,73, os parâmetros estáticos axiais laterais não apresentaram alterações significativas, acompanhando os parâmetros do grupo de controle. Os parâmetros estáticos totais de repouso do membro lesionado no grupo experimental apresentaram alterações de 3,76 ± 0,73 para 2,73 ± 0,72, enquanto os parâmetros do grupo de controle não apresentaram alterações significativas. Conclusão: O treinamento de reabilitação articular para atletas de exercício aeróbico praticado atualmente mostrou-se satisfatório para a recuperação das lesões articulares de joelho nos praticantes. RESUMEN Introducción: El entrenamiento de rehabilitación y las estrategias de recuperación son muy importantes para la reparación de lesiones en las articulaciones de los practicantes de ejercicio aeróbico, requiriendo actualizaciones periódicas sobre el estado del arte para sus entrenadores y profesionales de la rehabilitación. Objetivo: Verificar el estado actual de las lesiones articulares en la práctica del ejercicio aeróbico y explorar los medios practicados para el entrenamiento de rehabilitación. Métodos: Se seleccionaron 90 atletas de ejercicio aeróbico como sujetos experimentales, y el experimento duró 12 semanas. Se registraron las lesiones y se llevó a cabo el entrenamiento de rehabilitación articular, de acuerdo con el estudio bibliográfico actualizado. Resultados: Los parámetros estáticos totales en reposo de las extremidades no afectadas del grupo experimental mostraron cambios de 2,90 ± 0,55 a 2,81 ± 0,52, los parámetros estáticos axiales anteriores y posteriores aumentaron de 2,03 ± 0,71 a 2,14 ± 0,73, los parámetros estáticos axiales laterales no mostraron cambios significativos, siguiendo los parámetros del grupo control. Los parámetros estáticos totales en reposo del miembro lesionado en el grupo experimental presentaron cambios de 3,76 ± 0,73 a 2,73 ± 0,72, mientras que los parámetros del grupo control no presentaron cambios significativos. Conclusión: El entrenamiento de rehabilitación articular para atletas de ejercicio aeróbico practicado actualmente demostró ser satisfactorio para la recuperación de lesiones articulares de rodilla en practicantes de ejercicio aeróbico. ABSTRACT Introduction: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a type of inflammatory respiratory system disease characterized by chronic airflow limitation. Aerobic exercise training is believed to influence the drug treatment of this disease positively. Objective: Study the impact of complementary aerobic exercise intervention on pharmacological treatment in patients with COPD. Methods: In a controlled experiment, 40 volunteers under pharmacological treatment for COPD were selected and equally divided into two groups. The experimental group was treated with aerobic exercise training and drug treatment, while the control group was treated with regular drug treatment only. The exercise protocol lasted 60 minutes daily for a total period of eight weeks. Borg scale, oxygen saturation, and six-minute walk test among other markers were checked before and after the intervention. Results: According to the data obtained from the experiment, the peak oxygen consumption of aerobic exercise combined with the drug group was from 1,205.42±293.74ml/min to 1,301.84±293.91ml/min, peak ventilation started at 37.85±11.67L/min to 48.81±13.11L/min. However, the variations in the control group were not significant. Conclusion: Aerobic exercise associated with pharmacological intervention positively influenced the treatment of patients with COPD. RESUMO Introdução: A doença pulmonar obstrutiva crônica (DPOC) é um tipo de doença inflamatória do sistema respiratório caracterizada pela limitação crônica do fluxo de ar. Acredita-se que o treinamento com exercícios aeróbicos possa influenciar positivamente no tratamento medicamentoso dessa enfermidade. Objetivo: Estudar os impactos da intervenção complementar com exercícios aeróbicos sobre o tratamento farmacológico em portadores de DPOC. Métodos: Através de um experimento controlado, 40 voluntários sob tratamento farmacológico para DPOC foram selecionados e igualmente divididos em dois grupos. O grupo experimental foi tratado com treinamento de exercício aeróbico combinado com o tratamento medicamentoso, enquanto o grupo controle foi tratado apenas com o tratamento medicamentoso regular. O protocolo de exercícios teve duração de 60 minutos diários, num período total de oito semanas. A escala de Borg, saturação de oxigênio, teste de caminhada de seis minutos entre outros marcadores foram verificados antes e após a intervenção. Resultados: De acordo com os dados obtidos do experimento, o pico de consumo de oxigênio do exercício aeróbico combinado com o grupo de fármacos foi de 1.205,42±293,74ml/min para 1.301,84±293,91ml/min, pico de ventilação iniciou em 37,85±11,67L/min para 48,81±13,11L/min. Porém as variações no grupo controle não foram significativas. Conclusão: O exercício aeróbico associado à intervenção farmacológica representou uma influência positiva no tratamento dos pacientes portadores de DPOC. RESUMEN Introducción: La enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica (EPOC) es un tipo de enfermedad inflamatoria del sistema respiratorio caracterizada por la limitación crónica del flujo aéreo. Se cree que el entrenamiento con ejercicios aeróbicos puede influir positivamente en el tratamiento farmacológico de esta enfermedad. Objetivo: Estudiar el impacto de la intervención complementaria con ejercicios aeróbicos sobre el tratamiento farmacológico en pacientes con EPOC. Métodos: Mediante un experimento controlado, se seleccionaron 40 voluntarios bajo tratamiento farmacológico para la EPOC y se dividieron equitativamente en dos grupos. El grupo experimental fue tratado con entrenamiento de ejercicio aeróbico combinado con tratamiento farmacológico, mientras que el grupo de control fue tratado únicamente con tratamiento farmacológico regular. El protocolo de ejercicio duró 60 minutos diarios durante un período total de ocho semanas. Se comprobaron la escala de Borg, la saturación de oxígeno y la prueba de la marcha de seis minutos, entre otros marcadores, antes y después de la intervención. Resultados: Según los datos obtenidos del experimento, el consumo máximo de oxígeno del grupo de ejercicio aeróbico combinado con fármaco fue de 1.205,42±293,74ml/min a 1.301,84±293,91ml/min, la ventilación máxima comenzó en 37,85±11,67L/min a 48,81±13,11L/min. Sin embargo, las variaciones en el grupo de control no fueron significativas. Conclusión: El ejercicio aeróbico asociado a la intervención farmacológica tuvo una influencia positiva en el tratamiento de los pacientes con EPOC. ABSTRACT Introduction: The Pilates is a training method that aims to improve body awareness for movement re-education, bringing muscular and mental balance. It is believed that these benefits can effectively improve the flexibility of female university aerobics students. Methods: 90 female college students in the optional aerobics course were selected and divided into two groups. Data from the experimental and control groups were evaluated for comparison before and after the experiment. The aerobic exercises of the two groups of female university aerobics students were scored, aiming to compare and explore which training method was more effective. Results: The baseline time and pace score in the Pilates intervention was changed from 2.35±0.71 to 2.55±0.76, a movement set changed from 3.86±0.98 to 4.01±1.07, movement performance from 1.67±0.61 to 1.72±0.57, and foot skills from 1.40±0.48 to 1.41±0.50. The mean aerobic movement performance score changed from 62.45 to 80.53, an increase of 18.08 points. Conclusion: The Pilates training can effectively improve the aerobic performance of female university students. Level of evidence II; Therapeutic studies - investigation of treatment outcomes.


RESUMO Introdução: O Pilates é um método de treinamento que visa trabalhar a consciência corporal para reeducação do movimento, trazendo equilíbrio muscular e mental. Acredita-se que esses benefícios possam efetivamente melhorar a flexibilidade das estudantes universitárias de aeróbica. Objetivo: Avaliar os efeitos do treinamento baseado em pilates sobre o desempenho esportivo de estudantes universitárias. Métodos: 90 estudantes universitárias femininas do curso opcional de aeróbica foram selecionadas e divididas em dois grupos. Os dados do grupo experimental e do grupo de controle foram avaliados para comparação antes e depois do experimento. Os exercícios aeróbicos dos dois grupos de estudantes universitárias femininas de aeróbica foram pontuados, visando a comparação e explorar qual o método de treinamento mais eficaz. Resultados: O valor de tempo e ritmo basal na intervenção com pilates foi alterado de 2,35±0,71 para 2,55±0,76, o conjunto de movimentos mudou de 3,86±0,98 para 4,01±1,07, o desempenho do movimento de 1,67±0,61 para 1,72±0,57, e as habilidades com os pés de 1,40±0,48 para 1,41±0,50. A pontuação média do desempenho do movimento aeróbico mudou de 62,45 para 80,53, um aumento de 18,08 pontos. Conclusão: O treinamento de Pilates pode efetivamente melhorar o desempenho de estudantes universitárias femininas de aeróbica. RESUMEN Introducción: Pilates es un método de entrenamiento que pretende trabajar la conciencia corporal para la reeducación del movimiento, aportando equilibrio muscular y mental. Se cree que estos beneficios pueden mejorar eficazmente la flexibilidad de las estudiantes universitarias de aeróbic. Objetivo: Evaluar los efectos del entrenamiento basado en pilates en el rendimiento deportivo de estudiantes universitarias. Métodos: Se seleccionaron 90 estudiantes universitarias del curso optativo de aeróbic y se dividieron en dos grupos. Se evaluaron los datos del grupo experimental y del grupo de control para compararlos antes y después del experimento. Se puntuaron los ejercicios aeróbicos de los dos grupos de estudiantes universitarias de aeróbic, con el objetivo de comparar y explorar qué método de entrenamiento era más eficaz. Resultados: La puntuación inicial de tiempo y ritmo en el experimento de pilates pasó de 2,35±0,71 a 2,55±0,76, la del conjunto de movimientos pasó de 3,86±0,98 a 4,01±1,07, la del rendimiento de los movimientos pasó de 1,67±0,61 a 1,72±0,57, y la de las habilidades con los pies pasó de 1,40±0,48 a 1,41±0,50. La puntuación media del rendimiento de los movimientos aeróbicos pasó de 1,67±0,61 a 1,72±0,57, y la de las habilidades con los pies de 1,40±0,48 a 1,41±0,50. La puntuación media del rendimiento del movimiento aeróbico pasó de 62,45 a 80,53, lo que supone un aumento de 18,08 puntos. ABSTRACT Introduction: The quality of flexibility greatly impacts the performance of aerobics athletes. It is believed that stretching by proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) can contribute to this aspect by maximizing active joint range motion. Objective: Explore the influences of PNF stretching on the physical fitness of aerobics athletes. Methods: 24 professional aerobics athletes were selected, and randomly distributed into two groups with no statistical discrepancies in physical indices. PNF stretching exercise was performed on aerobics athletes in the experimental group, while no training intervention was performed in the control group. Physical fitness was assessed before and after the nine weeks of the intervention. Results: After PNF stretching training, the lower limb vertical score in the experimental group was from 6.58±0.19 to 8.20±0.47, and the transverse pronation score changed from 5.95±0.35 to 7.09±0.61. The vertical score in the control group was from 6.44±59.89 to 6.83±0.37 after the experiment; the transverse pronation penetration score was from 5.78±0.37 to 6.58±0.33. Conclusion: PNF stretching can effectively improve athletes' physical fitness, both statically and dynamically, generating gains in range of motion and providing favorable conditioning for overall competitive performance. RESUMO Introdução: A qualidade da flexibilidade tem um grande impacto sobre o desempenho dos atletas de aeróbica, e acredita-se que o alongamento por facilitação neuromuscular proprioceptiva (PNF) possa contribuir neste quesito com a maximização da amplitude de movimento articular ativa. Objetivo: Explorar as influências do alongamento PNF sobre a aptidão física dos atletas de aeróbica. Métodos: Foram selecionadas 24 atletas profissionais de aeróbica, aleatoriamente distribuídas em dois grupos sem discrepâncias estatísticas nos índices físicos. Foi realizado o exercício de alongamento PNF em atletas de aeróbica no grupo experimental, enquanto nenhuma intervenção de treinamento foi realizada no grupo de controle. A aptidão física foi avaliada antes e após as nove semanas da intervenção. Resultados: Após o treinamento de alongamento PNF, a pontuação de membros inferiores vertical no grupo experimental foi de 6,58±0,19 para 8,20±0,47, e a pontuação da pronação transversal mudou de 5,95±0,35 para 7,09±0,61. A pontuação vertical no grupo de controle foi de 6,44±59,89 para 6,83±0,37 depois do experimento; a pontuação da penetração transversal de pronação foi de 5,78±0,37 para 6,58±0,33. Conclusão: O alongamento PNF pode efetivamente melhorar a aptidão física das atletas, tanto estática quanto dinâmica, gerando ganhos à amplitude de movimento proporcionando um condicionamento favorável ao desempenho competitivo geral. RESUMEN Introducción: La calidad de la flexibilidad tiene un gran impacto en el rendimiento de los atletas de aeróbic, y se cree que el estiramiento por facilitación neuromuscular propioceptiva (PNF) puede contribuir en esta cuestión con la maximización de la amplitud articular activa de movimiento. Objetivo: Explorar las influencias del estiramiento PNF en la condición física de atletas de aeróbic. Métodos: Fueron seleccionados 24 atletas profesionales de aeróbic, distribuidos aleatoriamente en dos grupos sin discrepancias estadísticas en los índices físicos. Se realizaron ejercicios de estiramiento PNF en los atletas de aeróbic del grupo experimental, mientras que en el grupo de control no se realizó ninguna intervención de entrenamiento. Se evaluó la aptitud física antes y después de las nueve semanas de intervención. Resultados: Tras el entrenamiento de estiramiento PNF, la puntuación vertical de las extremidades inferiores en el grupo experimental fue de 6,58±0,19 a 8,20±0,47, y la puntuación de pronación transversal cambió de 5,95±0,35 a 7,09±0,61. La puntuación vertical en el grupo de control fue de 6,44±59,89 a 6,83±0,37 después del experimento; la puntuación de penetración de pronación transversal fue de 5,78±0,37 a 6,58±0,33. ABSTRACT Introduction: The performance of aerobics students during competition is closely related to the level of complexity of their movements. The requirement of muscular strength associated with sensorial precision to reach maximum athletic performance demands more specialized training, and the intermittent high-intensity training technique can supply these demands. Objective: Study the impacts of intermittent high-intensity training on the performance of aerobics students in the execution of their movements. Methods: Forty-eight aerobics students were selected and equally divided into two groups. The experimental group was given high-intensity intermittent training using the experimental control, while the control group was given no relevant intervention. The intervention lasted nine weeks, respecting the normal course of these students' practice classes. Movement quality was assessed before and after the experiment by the systematic balance test Results: The degree of movement completion of the experimental group was close to 2 points, rising to 2.5 points at the end of the movement, and the difficulty level was changed from 1.5 to 2 points. When to the control group, it initiated in 2 points, and after the intervention, it was significantly less to the experimental group. The difficulty level remained at 1.5 points, collected before and after the experiment. Conclusion: High-intensity interval training can improve the performance of aerobics students, acting favorably on the level of complexity of the movements of their sport. RESUMO Introdução: O desempenho dos estudantes de aeróbica durante a competição está intimamente relacionado ao nível de complexidade de seus movimentos. A exigência de força muscular associada à precisão sensorial para atingir o máximo desempenho atlético exige treinamentos cada vez mais especializados e a técnica de treinamento intermitente de alta intensidade parece ser capaz de suprir essas demandas. Objetivo: Estudar os impactos do treinamento intermitente de alta intensidade sobre o desempenho dos estudantes de aeróbica na execução de seus movimentos. Métodos: Foram selecionados 48 estudantes de aeróbica, igualmente divididos em dois grupos. Ao grupo experimental foi dado treinamento intermitente de alta intensidade utilizando o controle experimental, enquanto que ao grupo de controle não foi dada intervenção relevante. A intervenção teve duração total de nove semanas, respeitando o curso normal das aulas práticas desses alunos. A qualidade dos movimentos foi avaliada antes e depois do experimento pelo teste sistemático de equilíbrio Resultados: O grau de finalização de movimentos do grupo experimental foi próximo a 2 pontos, elevando-se a 2,5 pontos no final do movimento, o nível de dificuldade foi alterado de 1,5 para 2 pontos. Quando ao grupo controle, iniciou em 2 pontos, e após a intervenção foi significativamente menor ao grupo experimental. O nível de dificuldade permaneceu nos 1,5 pontos, coletados antes e após o experimento. Conclusão: O treinamento em intervalos de alta intensidade pode melhorar o desempenho dos estudantes de aeróbica, atuando favoravelmente no nível de complexidade de seus movimentos esportivos. La demanda de fuerza muscular asociada a la precisión sensorial para alcanzar el máximo rendimiento atlético exige entrenamientos cada vez más especializados y la técnica de entrenamiento intermitente de alta intensidad parece ser capaz de suplir estas demandas. Objetivo: Estudiar los impactos del entrenamiento intermitente de alta intensidad sobre el rendimiento de estudiantes de aeróbic en la ejecución de sus movimientos. Métodos: Se seleccionaron 48 estudiantes de aeróbic y se dividieron equitativamente en dos grupos. El grupo experimental recibió entrenamiento intermitente de alta intensidad utilizando el control experimental, mientras que el grupo de control no recibió ninguna intervención relevante. La intervención duró un total de nueve semanas, respetando el curso normal de las clases prácticas de estos estudiantes. La calidad de los movimientos se evaluó antes y después del experimento mediante la prueba sistemática de equilibrio Resultados: El grado de realización de los movimientos del grupo experimental fue próximo a 2 puntos, subiendo a 2,5 puntos al final del movimiento, el nivel de dificultad pasó de 1,5 a 2 puntos. En cuanto al grupo de control, inició en 2 puntos, y tras la intervención fue significativamente inferior al grupo experimental. ABSTRACT Introduction: Lack of exercise negatively impacts physical condition and quality of life among middle-aged and elderly women. Objective: Study the effects of aerobic exercise combined with strength training on the body composition of middle-aged and elderly women. Methods: The exercise was performed once every other day from 5 pm to 6 pm. 20 middle-aged and elderly women formed an experimental group. The exercise consisted of aerobic exercise combined with strength training, while the control group practiced aerobic walking. The entire experiment lasted two months, having a total of 30 sessions. Results: Body fat percentage in the experimental group decreased from 35.10±3.436% to 30.07±3.104 %; BMI decreased from 24.98±2.870 kg/m² to 24.25±3.251 kg/m²; the mean bone mineral density increased from 1.20±0.284 g/cm3 to 1.21±0.278 g/cm3. Conclusion: Aerobic exercise and resistance training can improve physical function in middle-aged and elderly women. It may also improve bone density, optimize sports practice, and promote women's physical health. Level of evidence II; Therapeutic studies - investigating treatment outcomes.


RESUMO Introdução: A inobservância do exercício tem um impacto negativo sobre a condição física e a qualidade de vida entre as mulheres de meia-idade e idosas. Objetivo: Estudar os efeitos do exercício aeróbico combinado ao treinamento de força sobre a composição corporal de mulheres de meia-idade e idosas. Métodos: O exercício físico foi realizado uma vez a cada dois dias das 17h às 18h, 20 mulheres de meia-idade e idosas formaram um grupo experimental. O conteúdo do exercício consistia em exercício aeróbico combinado ao treinamento de força, enquanto o grupo de controle praticava caminhada aeróbica. Todo o experimento durou dois meses, com um total de 30 sessões. Resultados: A porcentagem de gordura corporal no grupo experimental diminuiu de 35,10±3,436 % para 30,07±3,104 %; o IMC reduziu de 24,98±2,870 kg/m² para 24,25±3,251 kg/m²; a densidade mineral óssea média aumentou de 1,20±0,284 g/cm3 para 1,21±0,278 g/cm3. Conclusão: O exercício aeróbico combinado com o treinamento de resistência pode melhorar a função física nas mulheres de meia-idade e idosas. Também pode melhorar a densidade óssea, otimizar a prática esportiva, promovendo a saúde física da mulher. Nível de evidência II; Estudos terapêuticos - investigação dos resultados do tratamento.


RESUMEN Introducción: La inobservancia del ejercicio repercute negativamente en la condición física y la calidad de vida de las mujeres de mediana y avanzada edad. Objetivo: Estudiar los efectos del ejercicio aeróbico combinado con entrenamiento de fuerza sobre la composición corporal de mujeres de mediana edad y ancianas. Métodos: El ejercicio físico se realizó una vez cada dos días de 17:00 a 18:00, 20 mujeres de mediana edad y ancianas formaron un grupo experimental. El contenido del ejercicio consistió en ejercicio aeróbico combinado con entrenamiento de fuerza, mientras que el grupo de control practicó marcha aeróbica. El experimento duró dos meses, con un total de 30 sesiones. Resultados: El porcentaje de grasa corporal en el grupo experimental disminuyó de 35,10±3,436 % a 30,07±3,104 %; el IMC se redujo de 24,98±2,870 kg/m² a 24,25±3,251 kg/m²; la densidad mineral ósea media aumentó de 1,20±0,284 g/cm3 a 1,21±0,278 g/cm3. Conclusión: El ejercicio aeróbico combinado con el entrenamiento de resistencia puede mejorar la función física en mujeres de mediana y avanzada edad. También puede mejorar la densidad ósea, optimizar la práctica deportiva y promover la salud física de las mujeres. ABSTRACT Introduction: The results of the exercises provide an important parameter for evaluating the impact of aerobic activities on athletes. Cyclic training is believed to perform better due to its combination of functional movements. Objective: Study how cyclic training affects fitness in the performance of aerobic gymnastic movements in its practitioners. Methods: 90 athletes practicing aerobic gymnastics were selected, and randomly divided into experimental and control groups, for a 9-week experiment. While the control group practiced the daily exercises, the experimental group added a cyclic training protocol. Tests were performed before and after the intervention to measure any variation in the athletes' fitness. Results: The rate of ground weight lifting in one minute in the experimental group increased from 16.72±4.98 to 18.37±4.16, the number of lifts per minute was increased from 38.56±8.50 to 39.38±7.35, the number of rope jumps in one minute also increased from 149.90±14.67 to 158.30±11.52, and the gain in the exercise of vertical and horizontal supports in 30 seconds evolved from 16.96±2.21 to 17.33±2.42. The experimental group also achieved significant improvements after the circulation training. In contrast, the changes in the data of both groups in the control group were not as evident as those in the experimental group. Conclusion: The combination of cycling and daily training can effectively improve the functional performance of aerobic gymnasts. RESUMO Introdução: O resultado dos exercícios fornece um parâmetro importante para a avaliação do impacto das atividades aeróbicas sobre os atletas. Acredita-se que o treinamento cíclico possa desempenhar melhores resultados devido a sua combinação de movimentos funcionais. Objetivo: Estudar como o treinamento cíclico afeta aptidão física no desempenho dos movimentos da ginástica aeróbica em seus praticantes. Métodos: Foram selecionados 90 atletas praticantes de ginástica aeróbica, divididos aleatoriamente em grupo experimental e controle, para uma experiência com duração de 9 semanas. Enquanto o grupo de controle praticou os exercícios cotidianos, ao grupo experimental foi adicionado um protocolo de treinamento cíclico. Testes foram executados antes e após a intervenção para mensurar qualquer variação na aptidão física dos atletas. Resultados: O índice de levantamento de peso terra em um minuto no grupo experimental elevou-se de 16,72±4,98 para 18,37±4,16, a quantidade de levantamentos por minuto foi incrementada de 38,56±8,50 para 39,38±7,35, o número de saltos de corda em um minuto também se elevou de 149,90±14,67 para 158,30±11,52, e o ganho no exercício de apoios verticais e horizontais em 30 segundos evoluiu de 16,96±2,21 para 17,33±2,42. O grupo experimental também obteve melhoras significativas após o treinamento de circulação, enquanto as mudanças de dados dos dois grupos no grupo de controle não foram tão evidentes quanto as do grupo experimental. Conclusão: A combinação do treinamento cíclico ao treinamento diário pode efetivamente melhorar o desempenho funcional dos praticantes de ginástica aeróbica. Se cree que el entrenamiento cíclico puede ofrecer mejores resultados debido a su combinación de movimientos funcionales. Objetivo: Estudiar cómo afecta el entrenamiento cíclico a la condición física en la realización de movimientos gimnásticos aeróbicos en sus practicantes. Métodos: Se seleccionaron 90 atletas practicantes de gimnasia aeróbica, divididos aleatoriamente en grupo experimental y grupo control, para un experimento de 9 semanas de duración. Mientras el grupo de control practicaba los ejercicios diarios, al grupo experimental se le añadió un protocolo de entrenamiento cíclico. Se realizaron pruebas antes y después de la intervención para medir cualquier variación en la forma física de los atletas. Resultados: El ritmo de levantamiento de peso en el suelo en un minuto en el grupo experimental aumentó de 16,72±4,98 a 18,37±4,16, la cantidad de levantamientos por minuto se incrementó de 38,56±8,50 a 39,38±7,35, el número de saltos de cuerda en un minuto también aumentó de 149,90±14,67 a 158,30±11,52, y la ganancia en el ejercicio de apoyos verticales y horizontales en 30 segundos evolucionó de 16,96±2,21 a 17,33±2,42. El grupo experimental también obtuvo mejoras significativas tras el entrenamiento circulatorio, mientras que los cambios en los datos de ambos grupos en el grupo de control no fueron tan evidentes como los del grupo experimental. Conclusión: La combinación del entrenamiento en bicicleta con el entrenamiento diario puede mejorar eficazmente el rendimiento funcional de los practicantes de gimnasia aeróbica. ABSTRACT Introduction: Long-distance running is a typical physical endurance sport. The athletes' fitness level plays a dominant and central role in the components of their competitive ability. Whether long-distance runners can win in fierce competition depends mainly on the endurance of their physical fitness. Objective: To analyze the physical training methods of long-distance runners and discuss the improvement of speed and strength of long-distance runners through physical training. Methods: This paper uses literature materials, expert interviews, and experimental methods to research the training practice of middle and long-distance runners in colleges and universities. The data collected comprised an experimental protocol performed on volunteer long-distance runners. The above research determined the effect of physical training on speed and strength in long-distance runners. Results: After the 12-week experimental intervention, the overall strength, flexibility, and flexibility of the long-distance runners were improved, and the data were statistically significant (P<0.05). The aerobic workability and anaerobic capacity of the athletes were improved through the experiment. Conclusion: Physical training can improve the speed and strength of long-distance runners. RESUMO Introdução: A corrida de longa distância é um esporte típico de resistência física. O nível de aptidão física dos atletas desempenha um papel dominante e central nos componentes de sua capacidade competitiva. Se os corredores de longa distância podem vencer em competições acirradas depende principalmente da resistência de sua aptidão física. Objetivo: Analisar os métodos de treinamento físico dos corredores de longa distância e discutir o aperfeiçoamento da velocidade e da força dos corredores de longa distância através do treinamento físico. Métodos: Este artigo utiliza materiais de literatura, entrevistas com especialistas e métodos experimentais para conduzir pesquisas aplicadas na prática de treinamento de corredores de média e longa distância em faculdades e universidades. Os dados coletados compuseram um protocolo experimental executado em atletas de longa distância voluntários. A pesquisa acima determinou o efeito do treinamento físico sobre a velocidade e a força dos corredores de longa distância. Resultados: Após as 12 semanas de intervenção experimental, a força geral, flexibilidade e flexibilidade dos corredores de longa distância foram aprimoradas e os dados foram estatisticamente significativos (P<0,05). A trabalhabilidade aeróbica e a capacidade anaeróbica dos atletas foram melhoradas através do experimento. El nivel de forma física de los deportistas desempeña un papel dominante y central en los componentes de su capacidad competitiva. La posibilidad de que los corredores de larga distancia puedan ganar en competiciones feroces depende principalmente de la resistencia de su estado físico. Objetivo: Analizar los métodos de entrenamiento físico de los corredores de larga distancia y discutir la mejora de la velocidad y la fuerza de los corredores de fondo mediante el entrenamiento físico. Métodos: Este trabajo utiliza materiales bibliográficos, entrevistas a expertos y métodos experimentales para llevar a cabo una investigación aplicada a la práctica del entrenamiento de corredores de media y larga distancia en colegios y universidades. Los datos recogidos comprendían un protocolo experimental realizado en atletas voluntarios de larga distancia. La investigación anterior determinó el efecto del entrenamiento físico sobre la velocidad y la fuerza en corredores de larga distancia. Resultados: Tras la intervención experimental de 12 semanas, la fuerza, la flexibilidad y la flexibilidad generales de los corredores de fondo mejoraron y los datos fueron estadísticamente significativos (P<0,05). La capacidad de trabajo aeróbico y la capacidad anaeróbica de los atletas mejoraron con el experimento. ABSTRACT

Objective:To systematically evaluate the effect of exercise on blood pressure of middle-aged and elderly Asian populations with prehypertension and hypertension, and to provide theoretical basis for formulating accurate exercise prescriptions.Methods:Randomized controlled trials on the effect of exercise on blood pressure in middle-aged and elderly patients with prehypertension and hypertension were collected by PubMed, EMBASE, the Cochrane Library, Web of Science, CNKI and Wanfang Database.The quality of the included studies was evaluated by the Cochrane risk bias assessment tool, and the meta-analysis was performed with Stata 15.0 software.Results:A total of 23 articles and 2 095 subjects were included.Meta analysis showed that compared with the control group, aerobic exercise(WMD=-9.94, 95% CI=-12.59--7.29, P<0.001), resistance exercise(WMD=-11.15, 95% CI=-18.36--3.95, P=0.002) and aerobic combined resistance exercise(WMD=-6.09, 95% CI=-8.87--3.31, P=0.005) could reduce the systolic blood pressure level.Aerobic exercise(WMD=-6.46, 95% CI=-8.20--4.72, P<0.001) and resistance exercise(WMD=-4.38, 95% CI=-8.07--0.69, P=0.02) could reduce the level of diastolic blood pressure, while aerobic combined resistance exercise(WMD=-4.88, 95% CI=-12.87-3.11, P=0.232)had no significant effect on diastolic blood pressure.The results of subgroup analysis indicated that the differences of age, baseline blood pressure, exercise intensity, exercise time, exercise frequency, and motion cycle were the main sources of heterogeneity.The funnel plot and Egger's test indicated that there was no publication bias in this Meta-analysis. Conclusion:Aerobic exercise and resistance exercise both have positive effects on reducing blood pressure of middle-aged and elderly Asian populations with prehypertension and hypertension.

ABSTRACT

BackgroundThe schizophrenia is majorly treated with drug and through physical therapy. However, both treatments would lead to adverse reactions, which could affect therapy adherence and treatment efficacy. Previous studies have shown that aerobic exercise can help alleviate cognitive function in patients with Alzheimer's disease and depressive disorder. At present, little research has been done on such alleviation in schizophrenia patients. ObjectiveTo explore the effect of aerobic exercise on cognitive function in male patients with chronic schizophrenia, so as to provide references for relevant treatments. MethodsA total of 76 male patients with chronic schizophrenia hospitalized in the Fourth People's Hospital of Wuhu between December 2022 and April 2023 were selected as the study subjects and, in accordance with random number table, divided into study group (n=36) and control group (n=40). Both groups received conventional drug treatment. On this basis, the study group received a 60-minute aerobic exercise 5 times a week for 8 weeks as intervention. Before and after intervention, assessment of cognitive function was performed by using MATRICS Consensus Cognitive Battery (MCCB) and Stroop Color Word Test (SCWT). ResultAfter intervention, compared with the control group, the study group spent less time on finishing the Trail Making Test and scored higher in both the spatial span test and maze test (Z=-2.070, -2.306, -2.375, P<0.05). Repeated measure ANOVA results showed that the time main effect of Hopkins Verbal Learning Test score was statistically significant in the two groups after intervention (F=39.067, P<0.05). So was the interaction effect between the time and group of the Brief Visuospatial Memory Test and Verbal Fluency Test scores (F=10.092, 9.252, P<0.05). After intervention, the scores of the Brief Visuospatial Memory Test and Verbal Fluency Test in the study group were higher than those in the control group (t=6.689, 4.249, P<0.05). As for the study group itself, the scores were higher than those before intervention (t=23.746, 23.842, P<0.05). After intervention, the numbers of correct reading in color test and word test in the study group were more than those in the control group (Z=-2.358, -2.771, P<0.05). The interaction effect between the time and group of the reaction time in color test, word test and color word interference test were statistically significant in both groups (F=23.383, 19.888, 19.662, P<0.05). After intervention, the reaction time in color test and color word interference test of the study group was shorter than those of the control group (t=4.895, 6.163, P<0.05). As for the study group itself, the reaction time were shorter than before intervention (t=54.318, 42.425, 42.141, P<0.01). ConclusionAerobic exercise may help alleviate the cognitive problems in male patients with chronic schizophrenia in terms of information processing speed, working memory, reasoning/problem solving ability, word learning and memorizing, visual learning and memorizing, and executive function. ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore any effect of regular aerobic exercise on renal fibrosis and apoptosis in rats with spontaneous hypertension.Methods:Thirty 6-week-old male spontaneously hypertensive rats were randomly divided into a sedentary group (group HS) and an exercise group (group HE). Ten age- and sex-matched Wistar-Kyoto rats formed a control group. The rats in group HE underwent 12 weeks of swimming exercise lasting 60 minutes, five times a week, while the other two groups were kept quiet in their cages. Before and after the training, the tail artery blood pressure of each rat was measured. Renal function was evaluated after the experiment by measuring 24h urine protein, blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine levels, while the degree of renal interstitial fibrosis was measured using Masson staining and the collagen volume fraction was calculated. The number of apoptotic cells in the renal tubular epithelial tissue was recorded by TUNEL staining and the apoptosis rate was calculated. The expression of renal transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-β1), Smad2/3, Smad7, Bax and Bcl-2 protein were detected using western blotting.Results:After the intervention, the average systolic and diastolic blood pressure and mean arterial pressure of group HS had increased significantly, while those of group HE had decreased significantly, with no significant changes in those measurements among the control group. Compared with the control group, after the intervention, the average blood pressure, 24h urinary protein, blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine, as well as the cell apoptosis rate and expression of TGF-β1, Smad2/3 and Bax had increased significantly, and that of Smad7 and Bcl-2 had decreased significantly in group HS. And compared with group HS, in group HE the average blood pressure, 24h urinary protein, blood urea nitrogen, serum creatinine and the cell apoptosis rate had decreased significantly, together with the expression of TGF-β1, Smad2/3 and Bax, but the average expression of Smad7 and Bcl-2 had increased significantly.Conclusion:Regular aerobic exercise can relieve the renal dysfunction seen in spontaneous hypertension, at least in rats, by inhibiting renal fibrosis and apoptosis.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To explore the effect of supplementing stem cell therapy with aerobic exercise in left ventricle remodeling after myocardial infarction.Methods:Sixty 6-week-old male Wistar rats had acute myocardial infarction induced by ligation of the anterior descending coronary artery. They were then randomly divided into a model group, a stem cell group, an exercise group and an observation group. Another ten healthy Wistar rats formed a sham operation group. The rats in the stem cell and observation groups were infused with a suspension of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells through the tail vein. Beginning four weeks later, the exercise and observation groups underwent 60 minutes of aerobic treadmill exercise 5 days per week for 8 weeks. At the beginning and end of the eight weeks the rats′ exercise performance was evaluated using a graded treadmill exercise test. And after the last training session cardiac structure and function were detected using ultrasound imaging. Tissue was then collected from the left ventricles and the collagen volume fractions were calculated. The expression of myocardial brain natriuretic peptide (BNP), heavy chain β-myosin (β-MHC) and α-MHC mRNA was detected using real-time fluorescence quantitative PCRs.Results:Compared with the sham operation group, the time and distance to exhaustion shortened significantly in the model group, with a significant decrease in the average maximum running speed, left ventricle ejection fraction (LVEF), left ventricle shortening fraction (LVFS), expression of α-MHC and the α-MHC/β-MHC ratio. There was a significant increase in the average resting heart rate, collagen volume fraction, expression of BNP and β-MHC in the model group. Compared with the model group, there was a significant increase in the average LVEF and LVFS of the stem cell group as well as in the time and distance to exhaustion, maximum running speed, expression of α-MHC and in the α-MHC/β-MHC ratio of the observation group, but a significant decrease in the average collagen volume fraction of the stem cell group compared with the observation group, together with the resting heart rate, collagen volume fraction, the expression of BNP and of β-MHC. Compared with the stem cell group, the observation group showed a significant increase in the average time and distance to exhaustion, maximum running speed, expression of α-MHC and the α-MHC/β-MHC ratio, with a significant decrease in the average resting heart rate, collagen volume fraction, expression of BNP and β-MHC.Conclusion:Aerobic exercise or stem cell therapy alone can inhibit left ventricular remodeling and improve cardiac function after myocardial infarction, at least in rats. The combination of the two treatments has a synergistic effect and can further enhance the effect of stem cell therapy.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To observe the effect of nutrition intervention and exercise rehabilitation treatment on the sarcopenia in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes.Methods:It was a cross-sectional study. From March 2019 to September 2020, 101 elderly patients with type 2 diabetes complicated with sarcopenia treated in the Department of Endocrinology of Tianjin Third Central Hospital were enrolled in this study. The patients were divided into four groups with propensity score matching method: sarcopenia education group without nutrition and resistance training group (group A, n=22), simple nutrition intervention group (group B, n=28), nutritional intervention combined with resistance training group (group C, n=27) and nutritional intervention combined with aerobic and resistance training group (group D, n=24). All the patients were intervened for 24 weeks, two patients in groups C and D dropped due to their own reasons. The 25-dihydroxy vitamin D3 (25(OH)D 3), grip strength, muscle mass of the limbs and short physical performance battery (SPPB) scores were measured before and 24 weeks after the intervention in all the participants. Results:After the intervention, the 25(OH)D 3 levels in the B, C, D groups was (33.45±4.05), (33.68±4.69), (34.28±5.58) μg/L, respectively, all were higher than those before the treatment (all P<0.01), and there was no significant differences among the three groups ( P>0.05). The muscle mass in the B, C, D groups after intervention was 5.650 (5.102, 6.658), 6.601 (6.007, 7.156) and 6.520 (6.017, 7.302) kg/m 2, respectively, all were significantly higher than those before the treatment (all P<0.01); the muscle mass in group C and D increased more significantly than that in group B ( P<0.01), but there was no significant differences between group C and D ( P>0.05). After the intervention, the muscle strength in the C and D groups was 20.60 (19.20, 24.55) kg and 21.15 (19.43, 26.63) kg, and the SPPB scores was 8.00 (7.00, 9.00) points and 8.00 (8.00, 9.00) points, respectively, all were higher than those before the intervention (all P<0.01), but there was no significant differences between the two groups(both P>0.05). The SPPB function score in group D was better than that in group C, the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05). Conclusions:Nutritional intervention can improve the muscle mass in elderly type 2 diabetes patients with sarcopenia. Combined with rehabilitation training, the muscle strength and muscle function of these patients could also be improved, and the improvement of muscle mass is better than that in patients receiving nutritional intervention only. In terms of increasing muscle strength, the two kinds of rehabilitation training are equivalent. If combined with aerobic exercise, it can also improve the muscle function of these patients.

ABSTRACT

ObjectiveTo examine the interventions and health benefits of aerobic exercise for substance abusers using International Classification of Diseases, Eleventh Revision (ICD-11) and International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) framework. MethodsThe PICO framework was developed and randomized controlled trials were searched in PubMed, Web of Science, Embase, and CNKI dated from the inception of the databases to April, 2023. Then a systematic review was conducted. ResultsSeven randomized controlled trials involving 498 participants from three countries were included. The studies were mainly published in international journals such as International Journal of Mental Health and Addiction, Psychiatry Research, Mental Health and Physical Activity, BMC Sports Science, and Medicine and Rehabilitation, and covered the period from 2010 to 2022. The substance abusers in the included studies were classified into seven categories of mental and behavioral disorders, including methamphetamine dependence, cocaine dependence, cannabis dependence, opioid dependence, sedative dependence, heroin dependence, and ketamine dependence. Aerobic exercise activities included running, cycling, Tai Chi, Qigong, yoga, jumping rope, climbing, etc., with a frequency of 20 to 60 minutes per session, one to ten times per week. The activity intensity was mainly concentrated in moderate to high intensity, and the duration ranged from 12 to 48 weeks. The health outcomes were evaluated in six aspects: physical motor function, cognitive function, emotional functioning, medication cravings, physical fitness, and overall function and quality of life. ConclusionBased on ICD-11 and ICF, a theoretical framework was constructed to evaluate the health effects of aerobic exercise for substance abusers. Aerobic exercise could improve flexibility and balance, grip strength, vertical jump height, and sit and reach distance, as well as enhance physical fitness, strength, flexibility, speed and agility in substance abusers' physical function. In terms of cognitive function, aerobic exercise could help to improve working memory, attention and executive function, as well as cognitive and neurological functions. Aerobic exercise rehabilitation could also improve psychological health, such as anxiety, depression and fatigue, and increase the ability to resist substance dependence in substance abusers. In addition, aerobic exercise rehabilitation could improve physical fitness, such as body mass, blood pressure and blood lipid levels, and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and other diseases. It could also improve overall social function, increase social adaptability and quality of life, and reduce the risk of substance abuse relapse in substance abusers.

ABSTRACT

ObjectiveTo analyze the effect of moderate intensity aerobic combined with low intensity resistance exercise on old patients with coronary heart disease and hypertension. MethodsFrom November, 2021 to May, 2022, 16 patients with coronary heart disease and hypertension in Wuhan Donghu Hospital were divided into control group (n = 8) and experimental group (n = 8). Based on the World Health Organization Family of International Classification (WHO-FICs), the exercise intervention program was constructed. The control group accepted routine treatment, and the experimental group accepted moderate intensity aerobic combined with low intensity resistance exercise in addition, for eight weeks. They were measured lung function and cardiac function with cardiopulmonary exercise test system, and assessed with Timed 'Up and Go' Test, 6-Minute Walk Distance, 2-Minute Step Test, 30-Second Sit to Stand Test and grip strength before and after intervention. ResultsThe vital capacity, forced vital capacity, forced expiratory volume in the first second, forced expiratory volume in the one second as percentage of predicted volume, peak expiratory flow and maximal voluntary ventilation improved in the experimental after intervention (|t| > 2.391, P < 0.05), and the vital capacity, force vital capacity and maximal voluntary ventilation were more in the experimental group than in the control group (|t| > 2.207, P < 0.05). Peak oxygen uptake, anaerobic subthreshold oxygen uptake, metabolic equivalents, oxygen pulse, maximum work load and exercise load time improved in the experimental group after intervention (|t| > 2.823, P < 0.05), and they all were better in the experimental group than in the control group (|t| > 2.295, P < 0.05). Systolic blood pressure improved in both the groups (|t| > 4.608, P < 0.01), and diastolic blood pressure improved in the experimental group (t = 5.964, P < 0.01); while systolic blood pressure was less in the experimental group than in the control group (t = -3.654, P < 0.01). The performances of Timed 'Up and Go' Test, 6-Minute Walk Distance, 2-Minute Step Test, 30-Second Sit to Stand Test and grip strength improved in the experimental group after intervention (|t| > 2.996, P < 0.05), and all the performances were better in the experimental group than in the control group (|t| > 2.220, P < 0.05). ConclusionThe moderate intensity aerobic combined with low resistance exercise developed based on WHO-FICs can improve the cardiac function, lung function, cardiac load and motor function of old patients with coronary heart disease and hypertension.

ABSTRACT Introduction Moderate-intensity physical training effectively improves physical fitness and promotes an important impact on restoring human mental health. Objective This study aims to explore the effect of moderate-intensity physical training on students' mental health. Methods 100 students presented themselves as research volunteers. The moderate-intensity sport the students played was badminton. Each exercise lasted 30 minutes. A scale was used to detect the students' emotional changes after exercise. Different intensity exercise programs were formulated according to the improvement in the student's mood. The mechanism of the impact of moderate-intensity exercise on mental health was also compared. Results Students' emotional state before the exercise intervention was affected by physical exhaustion. After the exercise intervention, the emotional state of college students was shown to be more resilient to physical exhaustion. The dynamic changes in students' states before and after the intervention were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Moderate-intensity sports positively affect students' mental health recovery. Level of evidence II; Therapeutic studies - investigation of treatment outcomes.


RESUMO Introdução O treinamento físico de intensidade moderada é uma forma eficaz de aperfeiçoar a aptidão física além de promover um impacto importante na restauração da saúde mental humana. Objetivo O objetivo deste estudo é explorar o efeito do treinamento físico de moderada intensidade sobre a saúde mental dos estudantes. Métodos 100 estudantes apresentaram-se como voluntários de pesquisa. O esporte de intensidade moderada que os estudantes praticam foi o badminton. Cada exercício teve duração de 30 minutos. Uma escala foi utilizada para detectar as alterações emocionais dos estudantes após a prática do exercício. Formulou-se diferentes programas de exercícios de intensidade de acordo com a melhoria do humor do estudante. O mecanismo do impacto do exercício de intensidade moderada sobre a saúde mental também foi comparado. Resultados O estado emocional dos estudantes antes da intervenção de exercícios foi afetado pela exaustão física. Após a intervenção de exercício, o estado emocional dos estudantes universitários mostrou-se mais resistente à exaustão física. As mudanças dinâmicas do estado dos estudantes antes e depois da intervenção foram estatisticamente significativas (P<0,05). Conclusão Os esportes de intensidade moderada afetam positivamente a recuperação da saúde mental dos estudantes. RESUMEN Introducción El entrenamiento físico de intensidad moderada es una forma eficaz de mejorar la aptitud física, además de promover un importante impacto en el restablecimiento de la salud mental humana. Objetivo El objetivo de este estudio es explorar el efecto del entrenamiento físico de intensidad moderada en la salud mental de los estudiantes. Métodos 100 estudiantes se presentaron como voluntarios para la investigación. El deporte de intensidad moderada que practican los alumnos es el bádminton. Cada ejercicio duró 30 minutos. Se utilizó una escala para detectar los cambios emocionales de los estudiantes después del ejercicio. Se formularon programas de ejercicio de diferente intensidad en función de la mejora del estado de ánimo de los alumnos. También se comparó el mecanismo del impacto del ejercicio de intensidad moderada en la salud mental. Resultados El estado emocional de los estudiantes antes de la intervención de ejercicio se vio afectado por el agotamiento físico. Tras la intervención de ejercicio, se demostró que el estado emocional de los estudiantes universitarios era más resistente al agotamiento físico. Los cambios dinámicos en el estado de los alumnos antes y después de la intervención fueron estadísticamente significativos (P<0,05). Conclusión Los deportes de intensidad moderada afectan positivamente a la recuperación de la salud mental de los estudiantes.
